Vicky Hanagan

Finance & Community  Development Officer

Hey everyone, I’m Vicky I have been involved with the centre since I was 22 years old. Since joining the team at CCYCC my role has changed and adapted over the years as the work in the community has evolved. I came to Christ Church as a new mum with one GCSE with the willingness to train and learn where needed. In 2011, I achieved a BA Honours Degree in Business Management, which has given me a better understanding and knowledge of the Finance and Community Development position I do now at CCYCC. I have enjoyed my journey through the years with CCYCC and the members.

Vân Nguyen

Children’s & Youth Manager

Hey, I’m Vân for those who don’t know me I’m the Children’s & Youth Manager, working across both projects; after schools club and Bootleway youth group. As a young person I used to attend Christ Church where I was able to achieve many awards right up to my Gold Duke of Edinburgh. Since then I’ve gone onto study at university where I’ve gained a 2:1 BA honours degree in Education with Childhood & Youth Studies. A big part of my job is to ensure all young people have a similar if not better experience of what I had as a young person to allow them to fulfill their dreams and aspirations.

Paul Atherton

Assistant Childcare Manager/Playworker and Youth worker

Hi I’m Paul aka the baker at CCYCC, I’m 26 years young. I started my journey at Christ Church as a young person attending the youth group progressing onto a volunteer where I gained many qualifications such as my CACHE L3 in Playwork, BELA, ASDAN and Gold Duke of Edinburgh. Currently I am a Teaching Assistant at Christ Church CE Primary School. Working in both establishments allows me to implement my transferrable skills in children’s and youth work.

Michael Ordish

Playworker & Youth worker

Hello everyone, I am Mikey and I am 24 years old.
I have been a member of the Christ Church staff team for 5 years now! I originally started as a volunteer in the youth centre and after 5 months volunteering I was offered a job role in the After School Club. Since then I have been given different roles in both After School Club and our youth provision. Alongside this I have also gained various qualifications such as CACHE Level 2, BELa and NVQ Level 3 in Youth Work, and currently working towards a CACHE Level 3 Play Work. A big part of my job role is to ensure the young people stay safe, have fun and enjoy themselves whilst also learning some important life skills along the way.

I’ve been attending the centre since I was a little kid going from After School club to the youth groups which lead me to volunteering in the SPLASH holiday club when I left high school last summer. I am now part of the staff team and enjoying my learning journey to becoming a fully qualified playworker.

Enid Rudd

Playworker & Youth Worker

Hi there I’m Enid, I have over 13 years work experience working with children who have complex needs at Crosby High School. I came to CCYCC as a casual Playworker which lead to a great opportunity to join the team permanently as a Youth worker for the BRIDGE group. This has allowed me to work closely in a challenging but rewarding environment which I feel  enables me to offer a safe and enjoyable experience to young people.
